The purification process of Aura's green breathing walls amplifies four natural processes:
Phytoremediation
The plant roots absorb substances, including VOC gases, from the air and use part of them as nutrients. The ventilation of Aura walls pushes the pollutants towards the roots.
Photosynthesis
We all learned in school that photosynthesis is the process by which plant leaves absorb carbon dioxide and transform it into oxygen with the help of light. This can work even under artificial light!
Biofiltration
Microorganisms near plant roots feed on pollutants trapped in the substrate. The plants in Aura’s green walls are grown in Aura Mix, fostering this ecosystem.
Solubilization
The remaining pollutants after the biofiltration process are neutralized by the water. The automated daily irrigation of Aura’s green breathing walls ensures their proper disposal.
